Port Alliance Rotterdam (PAR) coordinates, allocates budgets and monitors the implementation of projects that make the port of Rotterdam resilient.

42 kilometers long. Rotterdam territory. Our port. A place where goods from all over the world arrive. The largest in Europe, a logistics and industrial hub. The port is therefore the largest gateway to the European market. But also a place where criminals take advantage.

That’s why we’ve formed a united front: Seaport Police, Port of Rotterdam Authority, Deltalinqs, the Public Prosecution Service, RIEC, Customs, the Tax Administration, FIOD and the Municipality of Rotterdam. Together, we make the port resilient to corruption, violence and criminal infiltration.

Port Alliance Rotterdam coordinates the joint approach, allocates budgets and monitors project execution. We report to the Ministry of Justice and Security, which finances our approach within the Mainport Programme to tackle subversive crime.

Responsible for detecting and prosecuting criminal offences in the port. Works with the police, FIOD and Customs on an effective approach to drugs crime and corruption. Strengthens international cooperation for more effective prosecution. Stands for justice and safety in the port.

Brings together public authorities and agencies to tackle organised crime. Analyses signals of criminal infiltration and initiates coordinated measures. Links phenomena such as drugs, human trafficking and fraud. Helps partners take targeted action against organised crime.

Controls imports, exports and transit at the European external border. Ensures prohibited goods, including drugs, are intercepted. Combines enforcement with cooperation to stop criminals. Contributes to safe and secure international trade flows.

Responsible for levying and collecting national taxes and exercises fiscal oversight. It uses its reporting function to highlight trends and phenomena. Money is a key area of ​​expertise for Belastingdienst. It investigates the origins of money.

Investigates complex fraud, money-laundering and corruption in the port. Analyses financial flows and exposes criminal networks that exploit logistics. Supports the Public Prosecution Service in criminal investigations. Ensures criminals are stripped of their profits and held accountable.

Leads the city and port’s safety strategy. Coordinates policies against drugs, intimidation and violence. Works with public and private partners to ensure a safe environment for living and working. Brings together prevention, enforcement and care to keep Rotterdam’s residents safe.
